From the author who brought you, I Learned it in Kindergarten; this passage has a very poignant meaning. I designed a simple rubber stamp image that I block print and then add the torn paper with my calligraphy on it.

One of my favorite Dickinson poems. I have taken my own handmade kozo paper and lettered on to it. To that I added simple feathers that seem to float on the paper. I frame the entire piece in a shadow box frame.
A few simple words can mean so much! I enjoy water coloring the background, and the size does vary according to the parts I like, but they all have my calligraphy in white and each is mounted on multiple layers of paper to enhance the colors of the piece.

I love to create Polaroid transfer prints, a process that doesn't involve a darkroom but does use my own slide work. I then add the calligraphy on the torn paper. All is mounted on handmade papers that reflect the season.
